The life story you bring to counseling is yours and yours alone. You may be experiencing a difficult life transition, grief and loss, struggles with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, unresolved pain, a history of trauma, or a multitude of other life challenges. During these times we so often sense our lives are out of balance in one way or another.
I strive to create a space where you experience compassion, acceptance, and understanding through connection in our time spent together.
My overall approach to counseling approaches the self as a whole, paying attention to the way that thoughts, feelings, our bodies, and our beliefs work together to shape how we see ourselves, our relationships, and interact with the world around us. I believe in the interaction of hope, the power of choice, the need for self-compassion, and the acknowledgment of life factors not in our control.
With my current clinical experience, I offer individual services to adults and teens (15+). I currently have services for couples on hold and am not taking new couples clients at this time.
My current fee for a standard 50-minute session is $100.
If payment is of concern to you, I offer sliding scale to households making less than $5000 gross income per month. Please inquire for more information.
I currently do not bill health insurance. There are many factors that determine insurance board eligibility and not all counselors are willing or able to accept insurance plans. If you have additional questions about fees and insurance, please visit my FAQ page for more information.
My office mate, Roo
I have clinical experience working with men and women experiencing depression, general and social anxiety, trauma and loss history, addiction recovery, grief, relationship and family systems issues, identity challenges (i.e. self-esteem, self-worth), and general life transitions.
My overall interest is to simply work with people. That being said, I do have a heart for working with grief and loss, be it related to death, chronic illness, infertility, identity, relationship changes, or other major life transitions.
I primarily accept debit and credit cards via a secure mobile payment processor. I provide you a link for payment following each session. Depending on the terms of your Health Savings Account or Flexible Spending Account, I can process some cards of this nature, as well. If you need to make payment in a different format, please ask me about options.
Fees are expected to be paid the same day of services, preferably paid immediately following session. If you need to make different payment arrangements, please ask me about options.
I provide receipts upon request: for your records or for expense reimbursement.
